Working during retirement, and how to customize it to suit you

A new reality is rapidly emerging, and that is that “retirement” is no longer thought of as “not working” by more and more people. Face it, going from a lifetime of 40+ hour work weeks to sitting idle and not keeping your mind and body sharp can be downright scary to some and depressing to others. The trend today is that many who hang up their daily work clothes to go through the door into their so-called golden years are finding that those years aren’t so “golden” after all. And that’s because they need more money than they now have, or they simply miss the interaction and mental stimulation that working provides, or both. But the good news is that working in retirement doesn’t have to carry with it the stress and disciplined schedule that it did during a regular career.
