Yet Another Reason to Avoid Early Retirement

We probably should have seen this one coming, given the many articles about the need to remain active in retirement and to have a plan for some form of mental engagement after pulling the plug on a career. In an article by Tech Explorist senior editor Pranjal Mehar posted on their website earlier this week, the potential impact of early retirement on dementia risk is discussed, with this quote setting the stage, “growing evidence that mental activity is linked to enhanced cognitive function, suggesting that long-term workforce involvement may ameliorate cognitive aging.” Check out Ms. Mehar’s post here…
