Breaking the Mold seminar to feature Wal-Mart executive

After seven years, Breaking the Mold in East Texas has grown to more than 40 businesses and public agencies coming together to celebrate National Disability Employment Awareness Month. The annual event began when the Workforce Solutions of East Texas, East Texas Center for Independent Living and Texas Department of Assistive and Rehabilitative Services joined forces to reach out to businesses to “break the mold” and realize the many benefits of hiring qualified, reliable and motivated employees who have a disability. From 8 a.m. to noon on Tuesday, the partners are holding the event at First Methodist Church Downtown, at 400 N. Fredonia in Longview.
