Social Security Under Obama

Social Security has been steadily expanding in recent years under the Obama administration. What follows after may be an even larger increase in benefits going out. In the past 6 years the long-term funding shortfall has risen from $5.3 trillion to $10.7 trillion. In this election season both major Democratic candidates have made promises to even further the expansion of Social Security but as of yet have not come forward with a sustainable plan to support it in the face of it’s already dangerously looming insolvency problem.
