Nation Wising up on Social Security
The most repeated advice on receiving Social Security is to wait as long as you can afford to before filing. American’s might finally be listening to this advice as a recent survey showed more and more are waiting until at least the age of 66. In fact, the number of those waiting has doubled since 2000 to include 26% of retirees waiting for increased benefits. Although, many can’t afford to take this advice and are forced to take early benefits even though they know they are missing out.
