A Look at the CPI for Seniors Act of 2017

The Motley Fool’s Sean Williams takes a look at H.R. 2016 (“CPI for Seniors Act of 2017”) introduced last month by John Duncan (R-TN). The bill is designed to replace the current Consumer Price Index for Urban Wage Earners and Clerical Workers (CPI-W) used to calculate Social Security COLAs with a new index that provides for a “more accurate measure of the inflation that seniors face.”  Read Williams’ article here…, and check out the actual text of the bill here.
