The end of the Social Security Number?

The use of Social Security numbers as a universal identifier may be coming to an end, according to numerous reports coming out of Washington. Comments by Rob Joyce, White House cyber-security coordinator, and a variety of other officials in the wake of the Equifax breach point toward a recognition that there is a need for change from the use of Social Security numbers as general, personal identification.
