We’ve all heard of the many instances of hacking of consumer data bases, the most notorious of which was the Equifax breach which saw information on over 145 million consumers compromised. But aside from instilling fears of identity theft, have you ever wondered what those hackers actually do with stolen information?  Well, believe it or not, there is a “dark web” from which cyber-criminals can buy your personal information, but how much they have to pay for it, and which information is the most valuable,  might come as a surprise.
