First, know your full retirement age; it has increased as the 1983 change in the law reaches final implementation. Second, find out how much to expect in your benefit check and how to enhance it. One key is delaying benefits as long as possible. Third, learn other ways to maximize your benefits, such as replacing low paying years early in one’s career with higher income years now.
