Women Face Retirement Challenges - FOX Business
It’s hardly a secret, but women almost always face a much more challenging retirement landscape than do their male counterparts. According to a recent Transamerica survey, only 33% of women even had a retirement strategy in place, and even fewer were currently saving for retirement. That’s not a statement of their ability to plan, but rather a reflection of the obstacles women must overcome when saving for retirement, including the gender wage gap and as acting as caretaker for children and aging parents, all of which result in lower earnings and smaller retirement nest eggs.
