Your Social Security retirement benefits could be reduced if you continue working and begin receiving benefits before your full retirement age. The threshold is fairly low at just $22,320 for 2024. But, the calculation method for these reductions changes during the year you reach your full retirement age (now 67 if born 1960 or later).
