Un-retiring? Beware of Age Discrimination

With Social Security replacing just 40% of pre-retirement income, it’s small wonder more seniors desire to work. Jeff Clabaugh has some excellent advice for retirees looking to reenter the workforce. Don’t put an AOL e-mail address or your home address on your resume are two tidbits. He suggests keeping your experience from the last 15 years front and center, as experience from 40 years ago can reveal your age, and that experience is likely irrelevant now anyway. The author cites findings in a ResumeBuilder survey of newly retired Americans that 12% expect to come out of retirement in 2024.
