What Are “Never Retirees?”

Maurie BAckman cites recent TIAA data that finds one in seven Americans don’t plan to retire. The big reason boils down to a lack of financial preparedness. She posits this question: “What if instead of pushing yourself to retire at a specific age, you instead make a plan to keep working in some shape or form for as long as your health allows you to?” Backman notes the hard-stop retirement is not for all, and the nature of work has changed to allow for more options, such as being a ride share driver.
