2025 Medicare Parts A & B Premiums and Deductibles

The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) announced the 2025 premiums on Friday, November 8, calling for a monthly increase of $10.30 for Medicare Part B, from $174.70 to $185.00. Deductibles and coinsurance amounts have also increased, as outlined in a post by CMS.org, which you can access here. The new parameters for Medicare’s Income-Related Monthly Adjustment Amounts (IRMAA), affecting Part B and Part D premiums for high-income beneficiaries, are also presented in this post. For additional information defining the IRMAA topic, check out this post by msn.com’s Donna LeValley. Ms. LeValley provides background on IRMAA and the definition of income used to determine the adjustment, along with commentary on dealing with the “Notification of IRMAA liability,” including the appeal process.
