What to do when the Stock Market declines - USA Today

If you’re been watching the stock market at all these days, you are already aware of the quite severe decline which has occurred as a result of President Trump’s tariff announcements. Any decline in the market can be stressful for investors, and the big recent market declines likely add additional stress. After all, most investors view their retirement nest egg as key to their future, so seeing your nest egg go down is especially troublesome for most.

So what is the advise from nearly all financial advisors? Basically, it is “stay the course.” Don’t make any panicked changes in your retirement portfolio in response to market declines, which are always temporary! Even with recent severe declines, there is little doubt that the stock markets will soon recover, as pointed out in this USA Today article by Bailey Schulz
