Another day, another Social Security scam - CBS News

Did you receive a personalized letter signed by Chief Justice John Robetrs and Associate Supreme Court Justice Sonia Sotomayor? If so, it is a scam according to the Social Security Administration’s office of the Inspector General. The letter warns the recipient’s that they are suspect in connection with legal proceedings and criminal charges, and the Supreme Court has requested financial institutions to freeze the recipient’s assets and urges them to cooperate with “the U.S. Treasury Department.” Aimee Picchi, reporting for CBS News, explains how this scam works.
