AMAC Tackles Health Care Issues at Washington DC Symposium on June 9-10

The AMAC Foundation is finalizing plans for the 2014 Health Care Symposium in Washington, DC on June 9-10 with leading professionals focusing on the critical health care issues facing America today.

The outcome-oriented conference is expected to bring together industry, government and education leaders in a two-way working forum designed to dissect the nation’s health care problems and develop remedial solutions.

It’s anticipated that several health care industry and government officials will confirm their participation in the symposium by March 1.

“We expect the free-flowing network exchange of ideas will provide conferees with an opportunity to be an instrumental part of the solutions to some of the most challenging healthcare issues impacting Americans today and in the future,” pointed out Dan Weber, CEO of AMAC.

Workshop subjects scheduled for discussion include:

  1. Medicaid and covering those without insurance;
  2. Reducing the cost of drugs;
  3. Creating alternative solutions to treatment and care, e.g. drug store clinics;
  4. Controlling Medicare costs;
  5.  Improving hospital procedures to lower expenses;
  6. Streamlining regulations for hospitals and health care agencies;
  7. Restore the primacy of the family doctor.

Invitations have been extended to U.S. health care professionals and government and business officials to participate in reviewing existing health care programs that may or may not be effectively serving the needs of Americans today as well as advancing the programs to serve future health care needs.

The AMAC Foundation is also seeking moderators, sponsors and committee participants.
