Bill offers way to improve financial security for those with disabilities

The state House will discuss legislation on Tuesday that gives people with disabilities a chance to lead more financially independent lives.

House Bill 556, addressing the federal ABLE Act, is on the calendar after getting a recommendation Thursday from the Finance committee.

The bipartisan bill is co-primary sponsored by Reps. Edward Hanes, D-Forsyth, and Donny Lambeth, R-Forsyth.  Read more…

  1. all of this is only good if you have enough “points/credits”. i have Parkinsons and am 67 , the SS tells e. sorry you don’t have quite enough points/credits. nothing for you..
