Boomers Keeping Music Alive

Each generation usually sees a shift in what kind of music is most popular and how it is listened to. Millennials have fallen flat, however, and Baby Boomers refuse to leave the scene. Streaming has not caught on in the way that many thought it would. Millennials stream music at a rate of 16% while only 3% of Boomers participate. Almost half of Boomers and Gen Xers still prefer to buy CDs for their personal music. Live music, however, is king. Baby Boomers are attending live shows at a greater rate than ever before.
