“Clean-Up” of Social Security Records Continues, Driven by DOGE - thenationaldesk.com

The Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) reports that as of late last week, a major step in the clean-up of Social Security master file records has been completed. DOGE’s “X” post notes, “After 11 weeks, @SocialSecurity has finished this major cleanup initiative: ~12.3M individuals aged 120+ have now been marked as deceased…” The post goes on to explain that follow-up work is continuing, specifically where there are complex issues that need to be resolved individually.
