Collecting Benefits on an Ex-Spouse’s Work Record–A Quick Review

The availability of benefits based on an ex-spouse’s work record is somewhat of an unknown to many. It’s especially a welcome surprise to many, as well. The rules deal with, for example, the length of the marriage, the age of the claimant, and the eligibility of the spouse. A post on signalscv.com by Jim Miller (Savvy Senior) provides a brief overview of how this provision works, and you can access it here.
