Contacting Social Security Offices During the Pandemic: Some Alternatives
While the SSA offices remain closed to walk-in traffic during the COVID-19 pandemic, they want you to know that there are alternative ways to get help. According to Catherine LeBlanc, SSA Public Affairs Specialist, “You can speak with a representative by calling your local Social Security office or our National 800 Number. You can find local office phone numbers online by using our Social Security Office Locator at www.ssa.gov/locator.” Also, as she explains in a post on https://patch.com, online access can provide a way to handle most transactions.
