Course Correction at the Social Security Administration Sorely Needed - KCBY News

Amid all of the media hyperbole from liberal Democrats in arms about the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) and, most recently, about DOGE activities to cut Social Security fraud and waste, comes a reasoned opinion by a respected media executive in support of cutting the bureaucracy and saving Social Security. Recent DOGE activities have focused on cutting “needless staff positions” and “closing under-used field offices,” which, according to the author of this article are long overdue. Reality is that Social Security customer service has been severely and sorely lacking for years and, without dramatic organizational reform, that is likely to continue.
