Deciding When to Start Collecting Social Security

With the new rules taking effect, many couples are wondering how it changes when they plan to start filing for Social Security benefits. This decision got a little more complicated once the file and suspend strategy was shut down, a strategy that was being used for the last 15 years. Fortunately, this strategy is still available to those that file before April 29 of this year, however, everyone who is not eligible will have to go back to the drawing board if they were planning on using this loophole.
