Does Medicare Pay 100% of COVID-19 Charges?

It’s pretty well known that Medicare is supposed to pay 100% of the cost of getting the COVID-19 vaccination, but some seniors have run into situations where they’ve been charged a co-pay when getting the vaccine from a doctor. The key is whether any other healthcare services were performed during your visit to the doctor’s office to get the vaccine. Although you aren’t liable for any costs directly related to the vaccine, if you also received other healthcare services during that visit, those services are billable and you may be charged a co-pay for the portion not paid by Medicare.
