Early Onset Alzheimer’s added to Social Security Compassionate Allowance List

Alzheimer’s is a type of dementia that affects memory, thinking, and behavior. Symptoms eventually grow severe enough to interfere with daily tasks. The Social Security Administration (SSA) has added Younger/Early Onset Alzheimer’s to the list of conditions under its Compassionate Allowances (CAL) initiative.
