Rep. Brady Laments Shift Away From Landmark Retirement Legislation

Yesterday, the top Republican on the House Ways and Means Committee Rep. Kevin Brady (R-TX) expressed disappointment during the markup process with the shift in thinking on the previously-passed SECURE 2.0 bill, describing the tactical change as  “… another war on work and particularly on small businesses.” H.R.2954–the Securing a Strong Retirement Act of 2021–previously passed the House Ways and Means Committee on a bipartisan basis.
