Sen. Crapo Joins the Call for Social Security Trustees Report

Sen. Mike Crapo, Senate Finance Committee Ranking Member, yesterday joined the call for an update to the financial status of the Medicare and Social Security Trust funds. The official reports, mandated by the Social Security Act to be issued each year by April 1; Crapo requested Government Accountability Office (GAO) head Gene Dodaro to “…continue monitoring the trustees report development process and lack of adequate notification to Congress specifically identifying when trustees reports are expected to be delivered to Congress by the Managing Trustee.” Read the full letter here…
