Walorski Op-Ed Extols the Virtue of Working

In an op-ed appearing in the Washington Examiner, Rep. Jackie Walorski (R-IN) comments on the virtues of workforce participation, proclaiming that “Restoring the dignity of work will not only strengthen our national fabric but also will unlock the American dream for families now and for generations to come.” Her remarks are on the mark, but unsaid in the piece are the beneficial aspects of building a work history on which future Social Security benefits will be based. That aside, the Walorski article provides a clear comparison of the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act (2017) results and the current administration’s economic policies.
