Relief in Recent COLA News

There is a deal ongoing discussion between Congress and the White House that may bring relief to those affected by the recent news of the Medicare Part B price increase in conjunction with the lack of COLA increase for Social Security benefits. This deal, which has not yet been voted on, will ease the Medicare price increases as well as prevent planned cuts in disability benefits. This deal will also bring an end to the “file-and-suspend” strategy that many retirees were taking advantage of.
