Retirement doesn’t mean you need to stop working!
The “old school” mindset about retirement was that you’re basically done being a productive member of the society of workers, and that once you’ve reached that mile marker, there’s nothing left for you professionally or vocationally. Well, that was then, this now. If you take a quick look around today’s workforce, you’ll see many folks who have retired, but have continued to work. In many cases, these second-career (or, third-, fourth-, etc career) people have left one line of work to embark on another, often with the objective of exploring other interests. Or, it’s often found that, as long as they’re not in a mandatory retirement situation, man folks just stay on the job past what was traditionally assumed to be “retirement age.”
