Retirement for Future Workers

Surveys and studies have shown that American workers have been historically poor at saving towards retirement. This can be for a multitude of reasons from not being adequately educated on the subject to simply not being able to afford to set money aside. The most current surveys hold a heavy influence from Millennials, showing that the overwhelming majority recognize the importance of a retirement savings account and a willingness to participate if they could or had the option.  60% of those surveyed (Baby Boomers, Gen X, and Millennials) know roughly how much they will need in retirement and have been educated on the importance, but have trouble reaching that goal by themselves. There are many different ways for employees to receive help from financial advice and education to employer programs. For more information read this article from Business Wire.
