Scam Complaints Continue on the Rise

The Federal Trade Commission is continuing to be a busy place, particularly in the processing of fraud claims submitted by the public. During the the four-month period March through May, the FTC reports the recording of over 127,000 complaints involving fraudsters posing as representatives of government agencies in an attempt to add authenticity to their nefarious pursuit by injecting a fear factor that causes unsuspecting victims to drop their guard. Brandi Vincent, nextgov.com Staff Correspondent, recaps this frightening situation in a post on www.nextgov.com, which you can access here…
