Scammers are Likely Ahead of the Curve

The Federal Trade Commission is expressing concern that, even while Congress is hammering out the details on financial relief for those affected by the coronavirus pandemic, crooks and scammers are busily plotting how they’re going to bilk unsuspecting folks out of whatever payment they may receive. As is usually the case, the swindlers will ask for your Social Security number, bank account number or credit card number as part of their approach, so the FTC warns that “No one from the government will call or email and ask for …” that data.
