Social Security Changes in 2021

It’s that time of the year again, when Social Security publishes its new guidelines for the forthcoming year. Most beneficiaries know that a Cost of Living Adjustment (COLA) occurs each year, but there are also some other changes which can affect you. These include those changes associated with the National Average Wage index, such as how much you can earn while collecting benefits before your full retirement age. Fortunately, much of what you may want to know – including what your 2021 benefit amount will be – can be found by accessing your personal online Social Security account at www.ssa.gov/myaccount.
