Social Security “credits” earned from working are good for life

In his Social Security and You column appearing in the Tucson.com (AZ) online edition, columnist Tom Margenau responds to a question about someone losing their Social Security credits if they don’t return to work soon.  Workers earn Social Security “credits” by working and earning over a certain limit each quarter, and a total of 40 credits are needed to be eligible to collect retirement benefits.  But those earned credits are good for life, as Mr. Margenau explains.  Click here to read more.
