Social Security Deadline Looming

The end of this month marks the cut off period for anyone still eligible to file under the rules from before the budget bill was passed this past December. Social Security has kept it quiet since the passing of the bill, presumably to let it pass in silent so as to get as few last minute filings as possible using the loopholes shut down. This of course just increases the confusion in the already muddled system. Social Security is notoriously difficult for even experts in the field to navigate and letting this deadline come and go without warning may leave those that are still eligible with a scummy feeling should they miss out on their opportunity. These strategies are still accessible to those that qualify, but it is easy to miss out on the deadline when everyone is quiet on it’s coming and going.
