Social Security funds for impeachment? It is not so.

In this highly charged political climate, Social Security is often used as a political football.  One party routinely accuses the other of “cutting” benefits.  The fact that something akin to this will have to be done eventually lest everyone’s benefits be cut across the board is the subject of many other articles, including on this site.  This post deals very simply with the falsehood that Social Security funds are being diverted for impeachment costs.  In this fact check it is shown this is false.  NO Social Security funds can be diverted for any purpose other than paying benefits, and that is the law.  Read the full piece from USA Today here.
