Social Security has hot line for fraud tips

You play a key role in protecting your investment in Social Security. If you suspect fraud, report it to the Office of the Inspector General online at http://oig.ssa.gov/report, or you can call the Social Security fraud hot line at 800-269-0271.

One out of five Americans receives benefits from Social Security, including elderly retirees, people with severe illnesses, and widows and children of deceased wage earners.
