Social Security Payments Won’t Be Affected by the Pandemic

In this Press Release from the Social Security Administration, the agency reassures beneficiaries that all benefits will be paid on schedule and that there is no disruption to the payment schedule as a result of the national emergency caused by the Coronavirus pandemic. So don’t be fooled by anyone who, either by phone, letter or email, tries to convince you that your Social Security has been suspended because of the pandemic and that you need to pay them money or give them personal information to keep your benefits. Any such contacts you receive are a scam, which you should either hang up on, delete or discard.  Click here to read the Press Release.
