The 2018 Social Security change you haven’t heard about

Social Security has recently announced the changes you will see in the program next year, foremost among which are a 2% COLA increase, a rise in the payroll tax cap, and a small increase in the earnings limit for those collecting benefits before their full retirement age but still working.  The one change you don’t see much about is that for those first becoming eligible for benefits in 2018, the full retirement age is 2 months more than it was for those who became eligible last year – now 66 years and 4 months for anyone born in 1956.  This Sean Williams article appearing at www.madison.com talks about how this change is “flying under the radar”.  Click here to read more.
