Filing for Social Security and planning for retirement is far from easy and intuitive. Sometimes it can seem that the entire goal of the Social Security Administration is that the entire process is the most confusing thing they can manage to make it. Even financial advising experts shy away from the subject of filing for Social Security. 59% of retirees say that their financial advisor has not helped them with anything concerning Social Security.
