The Other Medicare Advantage Open Enrollment Period
With all of the attention given to another “open enrollment” period (October 15 – December 7), many might not be aware that there is another period which runs from January 1 through March 31 of each year, during which changes to your Medicare Advantage plan can occur. Also known as the Medicare General Enrollment period, there are a number of restrictions on what can be done during this time, but there are also opportunities to make certain changes to your healthcare coverage.
