More and more retirees are taking the advice to delay their Social Security benefits for as long as possible to gain the most out of them. A recent bill just shut down some of the more creative ways to maximize benefits, but the simple act of delaying benefits is still one of the most effective courses of action. The number of people claiming benefits at the early age of 62 fell 14% from last year to this year while the number of people claiming at full retirement age rose 6%.
