The Tax Cuts and Jobs Act and its Impact on Social Security Revenue

Much has been written in the media about the cost and the expectations revenue loss relating to the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act that became law January 1, 2018, but not very much has appeared about the actual impact on America’s workforce–the source of funding for our Social Security program. In a video posted by the Heritage Foundation on YouTube, leading fiscal and economic expert Romina Boccia discusses the point that “Minorities in Particular Are Benefiting From This Economy,” and comments on the roaring economy that has led to the Washington Post comment that the rate of labor force participation “rose more in the fourth quarter of 2018 than in any quarter since 1994.” Check out the Fox News post here
