Updated Disability Insurance Trust Fund Numbers

ocial Security’s Office of Chief Actuary has released the first quarter numbers on the operation of the Disability Insurance Trust Fund. These numbers are crucial because the Chief Actuary’s prediction is that the Disability Insurance Trust Fund will run out of money at the end of 2016. The Disability Insurance Trust Fund finished the first quarter of 2015 with $54.3 billion in U.S. government bonds.
