Waiting for Benefits May be the Wrong Move

One common piece of advice concerning Social Security benefits is to wait as long as you can before collecting. This does get you the highest monthly benefit, but it may not always be the correct decision. Filing for Social Security is a very personal decision, everyone needs and wants different things from the system. Some people may not be able to afford to wait until the age of 70 to start collecting benefits, but there are other factors that should be taken in to consideration other than financial reasons.
