Will there be a $1,400 Social Security Stimulus check?
There is considerable amount of chatter on social media platforms and in the news recently about a $1,400 Social Security stimulus check, but will it happen? The Senior Citizens League sent a letter to Congress on how inflation has affected the senior population with the proposal of a one-off $1,400 Social Security payment for seniors. Mary Johnson, The Senior Citizens League’s Social Security and Medicare Policy analyst, said: the league is hopeful that a provision will be included in relevant budget legislation later this fall.” To find out why even if a stimulus check were to happen, it still would not be enough to account for inflation.
