Boomer’s Definition of Retirement

Baby Boomers are putting their own spin on the whole retirement thing, marching off in a different direction than those in generations previous. Boomer retirees are living longer, healthier, and busier lives in retirement. As Boomers start to retire en masse over the next few decades, these trends are expected to continue. Of course, along with all the positives comes some negative, Boomers also carry with them more debt in to retirement on average than those before them. Because of this, they find the need to continue working far longer than they may want to in order to make sure that they have enough money to continue with their pre-retirement quality of life.
