New CSI fund established by Geraldo Rivera to aid programming in social work and disability studies
STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — The College of Staten Island and those with developmental disabilities will be the beneficiaries of a significant investment by Geraldo Rivera, the man who helped expose the abuses of the former Willowbrook State School, where the college now stands. The Geraldo Rivera Fund for Social Work and Disability Studies at CSI was announced Tuesday, and the school’s president, Dr. William Fritz was joined by several college officials this week to discuss what the fund would mean for CSI and Staten Island.
